The chief executive officer of UpdateAfrika Communications, Dr Joseph Effiong, has commiserated with Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on the death of his wife, Patience Eno.

Patience died on September 26, 2024, a statement by the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, revealed. She was aged 57.

Effiong, a member of Voice of Otieke-Offi People, Akwa Ibom, joined other dignitaries home and abroad to sympathise with Governor Eno, describing late Mrs Patience Eno as a God-fearing and remarkable woman who impacted countless lives during her stay on earth.

According to Effiong in a statement on Friday, the late Patience left indelible mark in her short time as the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, leaving a void in the state and Nigeria at large.

He said, “I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved wife, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs Patience Umo Eno. Her loss is undoubtedly a profound one, and my heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.

“She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this challenging period. We do not mourn like those without hope, for your wife did not die, she has just relocated to a heavenly home.”

Effiong said the deceased would be greatly missed. He further prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
