Eid-Kabir: Firm Donates 20 Cows, 500 Bags Of Rice, Others To Nasarawa Community

A mining company, Diamond New Energy, has donated 20 cows and 30 rams to its host community, Endo, in Nasarawa local government area of Nasarawa State, ahead of the Eid al-Kabir celebration.

Also distributed as part of Sallah support in collaboration with Reves African Youth and Children Development Foundation, to the beneficiaries were 500 bags of 50kg rice and 300 cartons of five-litre vegetable oil.

At the event yesterday in Endo, a representative of Diamond New Energy, Mr Jiang Richard, said the gesture was part of the company’s community development and welfare support outreach.

Richard said Diamond Energy, a member of Gafang Lithium Company, was committed to assisting the people of the host community.

“We believe success is not only about mining. It is also about helping people and supporting our host communities.

“Allah is a season of love, sharing, and kindness. Today, we are happy to support the community with cows, rams, bags of rice, and other rtems for families.

“We thank the traditional leaders, youth leaders, women groups, government officials, and the people of Endo Community for your support and cooperation,” he stated.

He promised that Diamond Energy will continue to build a strong relationship with the community through responsible mining, development, and partnership.

Also speaking at the occasion,  the Osu Ajiri, Suleiman Eko, thanked Diamond New Energy for reaching out to the community during the festivities.

He commended the company for its inclusive policy, which ensures that youths in the area are productively engaged.

 

The traditional ruler, therefore, was assured of the community’s resolve to continue supporting the mining firm to ensure that its operations are carried out in line with the government’s agreed terms, without hindrance.
