At least one person was reportedly killed while three others sustained injuries in a tricycle accident along Haske Road near Lamingo Golf Club in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

The accident occurred on Monday evening when two commercial tricycles, popularly known as Keke Napep, collided.

According to an eyewitness, Mr. Joseph Haruna, said the crash occurred after one of the tricycle operators attempted to dodge a pothole on the road, resulting in a collision with an oncoming tricycle.

He stated that the incident happened at about 5 p.m., and the impact of the collision left one passenger dead at the scene, while three other occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The injured victims were immediately evacuated by sympathisers and emergency responders to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Another witness, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, described the accident as tragic and called on relevant authorities to urgently repair potholes along the road.

He said the poor condition of the road poses a serious danger to motorists, tricycle operators and other road users.
