Adamawa State government has expressed it readiness to partner Angelo Nigeria Limited on how the girl-child menstrual hygiene can be improved.
The deputy governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta disclosed this when she hosted members of Angelo Nigeria Limited who visited her office over the weekend.
Members of Angelo Nigeria Limited and partners were led to the deputy governor by the daughter of the soil, Delihlar Musa.
They said they were out to champion the cause of women and youths especially, entrepreneurship development, menstrual and reproductive health education.
The team leader, Dr Titilope Ejimagwa, said the group and partners were convinced by the political will demonstrated by Governor Umaru Fintiri at bringing hope for the youth, women and children.
, hence their resolve to partner the state government in empowering and impacting their lives.
Responding, the deputy governor professor, Kaletapwa Farauta said the Federal Government Girls College, Yola will serve as a pilot school for the project, with focus on educating the girl-child on menstrual health among others.
She revealed that the present administration holds the girl-child with a keen interest and would continue to introduce policies and programmes towards the realisation of their full potentials, being critical segment of the society
