ADC: Atiku Confident In Growth After Adamawa Meeting

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has expressed optimism about the future of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, following what he described as a productive review of the party’s structure and mobilisation efforts.

Atiku, in a post on X on Friday, said the party leadership is confident about its current standing and encouraged by its growth prospects after assessing ongoing activities in the state.

“We reviewed the current state of our party, particularly regarding the ongoing registration of members and mobilisation efforts. We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about prospects,” he wrote.

The remarks followed a strategic meeting held Thursday night with stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress in Adamawa State.

The engagement brought together party leaders, influential members, and grassroots coordinators from across the state to evaluate the party’s progress and chart a path for expansion.

During the meeting, Atiku stressed the need for strong organisational structures and deeper engagement with members at all levels, noting that sustainable growth depends on inclusiveness and active participation.

He acknowledged that political parties often face challenges in mobilising support and maintaining enthusiasm among members but maintained that such obstacles can be addressed through clear planning and consistent effort.

According to him, effective party building goes beyond increasing membership figures, emphasising the importance of systems that promote accountability, participation, and a shared sense of purpose among members.
