The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s decision to take a foreign trip amid the tense security situation in the country, adding that his lack of care is scary.
The national publicity secretary of ADC, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post on X, also knocked the president for traveling and leaving behind a confused and scared nation.
He also tackled the president for not saying a single word over the recent bomb blast in Zamfara which claimed some lives.
The ADC spokesman stated this in reaction to Tinubu’s departure from Lagos to Europe and later Abu Dhabi.
The special adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Sunday, said Tinubu would continue “his end-of-year break and ahead of his official trip to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.”
Reacting Abdullahi said, “In the wake of yet another deadly bomb blast in Zamfara, to which the President has not said a single word; on the back of an unprecedented foreign military attack on Nigerian soil; right in the middle of all the uncertainty it has provoked; with a confused and scared nation waiting for the President to speak to us and assure us that all is well, the next thing we hear is that the President has gone on holiday.
What a President,” he said.
