AMGA 2024: Cameroon Beat Nigeria 1-0 In Soccer Event

Cameroon defeated Nigeria 1-0 in its opening game at the 2024 Africa Military Games (AMGA) in Abuja on Friday.

It was the first game for both teams with Algeria and Equatorial Guinea as othe two teams taking part in the football event.

In the second game on Friday, Algeria triumphed over Equatorial Guinea 2-0.

In the men’s boxing event, Nigeria’s Qozeem Qouum defeated Leonardo Dgraca in the 63.5kg category.

Another Nigerian boxer, Damilola Salawudeen, was not so lucky in his own bout as he lost to Touareg Mohammed of Algeria in the 51kg.

Also, on Thursday, Nigeria won gold in both the men’s and women’s handball events, defeating Ghana in both categories.
