A House of Representatives aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Onuche Victor Alor, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of the Vice Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Joy Ojali Omaga.
Alor, who is seeking to represent Idah Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, described the late Omaga as a committed grassroots politician whose service to her people was marked by selflessness and dedication.
In a condolence message issued on Saturday, Alor said he received news of her passing during the APC National Convention in Abuja, a moment he noted was meant for celebration but was instead overshadowed by grief.
“A tree has fallen in Ofu,” he said, lamenting the loss of what he called one of the local government’s strongest pillars.
He noted that the deceased lived a life devoted to the service of others rather than the pursuit of titles, adding that her contributions to the development of Ofu would leave a lasting legacy.
“Hon. Ojali worked not for titles, but for the people. Her impact will continue to inspire generations,” he stated.
The APC chieftain extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the Executive Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area, party stakeholders, and members of the APC.
He prayed for the repose of her soul and urged those she left behind to find strength in her enduring legacy of service.
The death of Hon. Joy Ojali Omaga has continued to draw tributes from political associates, community leaders, and residents, who have described her as a dependable leader and a true servant of the people.
