The Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured 91.5 per cent of the total votes cast in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election conducted in Yobe State.

A statement issued by the director general Press Affairs and Media to the Governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed said Buni, who also served as the state collation officer for the presidential primary, disclosed the result shortly after the conclusion of the exercise in Damaturu.

He said President Tinubu polled 253,804 votes to emerge victorious, defeating his contender, Dr. Osifo Stanley, who scored zero votes.

The governor described the outcome as a clear demonstration of the overwhelming support enjoyed by President Tinubu among APC members in the state.

According to him, the result reflects the confidence of party members in the leadership of the president and their commitment to the continuity of his administration beyond 2027.

“Yobe State has once again demonstrated loyalty and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We will continue to mobilise support to ensure his re-election for a second term,” Buni said.

He commended APC supporters across the state for their peaceful conduct, impressive turnout and steadfast commitment during the exercise.

“We should reflect this in the general election with full force,” governor Buni added.
