APC Primaries: C’ttee Members Appeal To Buhari, Tinubu Over Non-payment Of Allowances

Committee members appointed by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to conduct primary elections for elective offices across the country,  have appealed  to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Party’s Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene over the  non-payment of their allowances by the party leadership.

In a statement signed by the leader of the group, Hon. Ishiaku I. Bello,  that several months after the assignments the party has not paid any of the members their entitlements.

According to him, several attempts have been made by the committee members over the non payment but to no avail.He said committee members are in dare pain while some of have lost their lives in the process as a results of accident they sustained during the exercise.

Bello accused the National chairman of the party Adamu Abdullahi of ignoring their pleas and all efforts for the party to pay the members their entitlements.

He said at a point,  the finance department of the party was said to had raised a payment vouchers but the chairman decline to append to it.

He added “this is a very serious issue, some of our members are going to work against the party at the general elections,” he said.
