The chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across 193 wards of Kwara State on Wednesday endorsed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to contest for the senatorial seat of Kwara central in the 2027 general elections

The APC ward chairmen gave the endorsement at a media briefing in Ilorin, the state capital.

Speaking on behalf of the ward chairmen, the chairman, APC Ward Chairmen Forum, Alh Abdullahi Baba Gobir, said the resolve to encourage Governor AbdulRazaq to contest for the senatorial seat was not borne out of personal interest.

He explained that it was a collective desire to see continuity of purposeful leadership, experience and people oriented governance at higher level of national representation.

Gobir said the call on the governor reflects the voice of the grassroots, the pulse of the people and confidence reposed in him, thus affirming their total loyalty to the APC in the state.
