Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago and the Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, have welcomed the appointment of Alhaji Ndagi Alhassan, as registrar/CEO of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

The governor, who was represented by the commissioner for Tertiary Education, Alhaji Abdullahi Mamagi, described the development as a milestone, saying that the state remained committed to supporting the new registrar in every way possible to excel.
“Whatever kind of support he expects, we are ready to provide, be it moral, financial, or otherwise. We are fully behind him,” Bago assured.
The Etsu Nupe who was represented by the Wambai Nupe, Engr. Ndagi Aliyu appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Ndagi Alhassan.
The Etsu Nupe, at the event organised by the council and the Niger State College of Nursing Sciences, maintained that Bida Emirate and the entire Nupe land were proud to be associated with the new appointee, who is a dedicated and committed son.
“This is why we must show our endless happiness and pride in this honour done to us. The President, therefore, deserves a pat on the back for this great honour to the Bida Emirate and Niger State in general,” he said.
