A law firm, Renaissance Legal Consulting, has appealed to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to open the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for newly restored state constituencies in Benue State.

In a letter dated May 15, 2026, and addressed to the APC national chairman, the firm, through Barr. Terhemba Wuaze, stated that their client, Hiifan Andrew Abuul, a member of the party, is seeking to contest in the 2027 elections to represent Ukum II State Constituency following its restoration.

The lawyer said Abuul is a registered APC member from Azendeshi Ward in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, adding that a temporary membership slip was attached to the letter.

The letter further explained that the request follows the official restoration of five constituencies in Benue State, including Ukum II State Constituency, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on May 14, 2026.

Parts of the letter read, “We are solicitors to Hiifan Andrew Abuul, our client, on whose instructions we so write. Our client informed us that he is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hereinafter referred to as the Party from Azendeshi Ward, Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State. Find attached his temporary membership slip.
