The discussions, held alongside Rogers’ impending move, signal Villa’s aggressive reinvestment plans under Unai Emery ahead of another Champions League campaign.
Sources confirm Villa probed both attackers’ availability to revamp their forward line.
Injury and departures have already reshaped Villa’s summer: Amadou Onana is out for the season, while Youri Tielemans has joined Manchester United.
