Bauchi State government is set to bolster its fire and rescue capabilities by constructing a new Fire and Rescue Substation along the Darazo-Ganjuwa road in the Darazo local government area of the state.
Commissioner for Works and Transport Ibrahim Galadima, disclosed this during an inspection of the proposed site, emphasizing Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
“This project is designed to enhance response times to fire-related emergencies and improve the effectiveness of our state’s fire and rescue operations,” Galadima said.
He explained that the inspection was the first of several planned phases to streamline emergency responses in Darazo and neighbouring Ganjuwa LGAs.

Chairperson of Darazo local government, Samaila Sade, expressed his council’s commitment to supporting the project’s swift completion.
He lauded the state government’s proactive approach to addressing the community’s emergency needs, underscoring its significance for the people of Darazo.
