Buni Assures Support To Security Agencies, After Boko Haram Attack

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni met with Brig-Gen BMG Martins, the Acting Commander of Sector 2 (Joint Task Force Northeast Operation HADIN Kai).

Governor Buni assured the Acting Commander of support from the government and people of Yobe state for peace and security to reign across the state.

According to him, the state government is committed to working with security agencies to ensure lasting peace and security.

Buni expressed confidence in the Acting Commander‘s capacity and assured him of the government and people‘s support and cooperation.

In his response, the Acting Commander solicited support from the state‘s people.

He states, „We are a committee dedicated to instituting peace and security in the state and the entire region so that the people can live in peace and pursue their legal means of livelihood,“ General Martins said.

Similarly, Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Affairs, presented Governor Buni with an award for his contributions to peacebuilding and development in Yobe State.
