The Adamawa State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemned boko haram killing of people in Madagali, Hong and Gombi local government area of the state

The state chairman, Joel Manzo, said the leadership of the christian faith is disturbed over recurring killings resulted in loss of lives, destruction of property, and displacement of residents.

He described the attack as tragic and troubling, particularly at a time when farmers are returning to their fields with expectations of a productive rainy season.

According to him, continued insecurity could have serious implications for food security, economic stability, and the general well-being of the people.

The cleric strongly condemned what it described as senseless acts of violence, stressing that the loss of innocent lives and forced displacement of well-being must be brought to an end.

While acknowledging the efforts of security agencies, CAN urged authorities at both state and federal levels to intensify efforts to restore peace and protect vulnerable communities.

The group called for a strengthened security presence in affected areas, especially rural farming communities, and demanded that those responsible for the attacks be apprehended and prosecuted.

It also appealed for measures to ensure the safe return of displaced persons to their homes and for the implementation of long-term solutions to address the root causes of the conflict.

CAN further urged residents to remain calm, maintain unity, and cooperate with security agencies, while discouraging any form of self-help or retaliation.

The association called on religious bodies and people of faith to continue praying for peace, comfort for affected families, and stability in the state.
