The first phase of the distribution scheme was flagged off by the deputy governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe under the Dattijo Empowerment and Development Initiative (DEDI), an organisation founded by Dattijo to drive inclusive development.

Speaking at the flag off, he urged the women to come out en masse to support the party in the general elections .

He expressed readiness to support women in the senatorial district if elected.
