‘‘July was tough. First, I lost my beautiful beloved goddaughter Funmilola to sickle cell, and my godmother Mama K. I traveled to France, Monaco and Croatia to distract myself from the pain. I finally found some answers in my soon to be released song titled Tambele meaning Happiness is Free. I am still broken, but amidst all this, I choose to rise above all, and I hope you (her listeners) feel the same strength this song has given me,’’ said the artiste.

Comprising thoughtful lyrics, Tambele is one of the many songs set for Jemiriye’s upcoming album, and can be accessed on several digital platforms starting today. It is produced by Olatunde Obajeun, mastered by Jewel 412’s Julien Cox and recorded in Pittsburgh, USA.

Born in Osun State, Nigeria, Jemiriye music career is growing in leaps and bounds, using her songs to campaign for the liberation of the African woman, child education, dissuade early/child marriage and rally support for peace in Africa. She led the theme song at the 2006 Pan African Women Conference, South Africa which had Winnie Mandela in attendance; and performed in several concerts and music festivals. In 2020 released My Body, Lagos and Saami Iye.
