As Chelsea grapples with goal-scoring challenges in the current season, they are reportedly considering loan moves for Karim Benzema and former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino. Reports from Marca indicate that Benzema, who joined Al Ittihad this summer, has not returned to training after being granted time off. Manager Marcelo Gallardo has subsequently excluded him from the first-team squad. Benzema, who scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for Al Ittihad, is facing an uncertain future with the Saudi side.
