In a viral video online, Phyna is seen at the reception of the hospital where her sister is being treated making the demand to members of the Dangote Group management.

The accident, which occurred on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, left Ruth with severe injuries that resulted in the amputation of her leg. The incident happened just six days after she graduated from the institution.

In the footage, Phyna criticised the level of medical care being provided, saying she wanted her sister to be treated abroad.

“Dangote will not bring his child here,” she reiterated.

Asked if she intended to take her sister abroad, Phyna responded in the affirmative and stated her preferred destination. “Yes… India,” she replied.

The Dangote Group has since acknowledged the incident, stating that its team visited the scene, engaged with law enforcement, and met the family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State. The company pledged full medical support and compensation in line with its welfare policy.

Phyna, who gained fame in 2022 after winning the BBNaija “Level Up” edition with a ₦100 million prize package, has vowed not to let the case be swept under the carpet. The incident has sparked widespread outrage online, with the hashtag #JusticeForRuth trending as Nigerians call for justice and proper care for the victim.
