Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Tems Make Obama’s Favourite Music Of 2023 Playlist

Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has included songs by Nigerian musicians, Davido, Burna Boy Asake and Tems in his favourite music of 2023 list.

Obama unveiled the list via his ‘X’ handle on Friday evening.

‘Unavailable’ by Davido, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ by Burna Boy featuring 21 Savage, ‘Amapiano’ by Asake & Olamide and Tems’ ‘Me & U’ were the only Afrobeats songs on the playlist.

 

Sharing the playlist, Obama wrote, “Here are some of my favourite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.”

Recall this is not the first time either Burna Boy or Ayra Starr had featured on Obama’s playlist with ‘Last Last’ and ‘Rush’ making the cut in 2022.

Wizkid and Rema, are also other Nigerian artists who have featured in the list.
