Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, has commended the director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, for investing in the education sector through the establishment of an academy in Kaduna.

The minister spoke when he commissioned the newly established Kaduna Christian Academy.

The ceremony was performed by Gen. Musa, who described education as a vital tool for shaping future leaders and promoting national development.

Gen. Musa noted that providing a conducive learning environment for children would contribute significantly to nation-building and the development of future generations.

He emphasised that effective internal security depends largely on winning the confidence and support of the people, and reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to tackling banditry, insurgency and other security challenges across the country.

The minister also applauded the Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani, for what he described as inclusive governance and the ongoing developmental projects across the state.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the Northern Christian Association, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, described the academy’s inauguration as a historic moment for the community and the state.

According to him, the institution represents the fulfilment of a long-held vision to address educational challenges and create opportunities for children regardless of their background.

“We are here to affirm a simple but powerful truth that education is not a privilege reserved for a few, but a sacred right belonging to every child,” Hayab stated.

He praised the DSS DG for what he described as a legacy project that goes beyond philanthropy, stressing that Ajayi had chosen to invest in the future of generations yet unborn

“On behalf of the Northern Christian Association and the entire Christian community across Kaduna State, we offer our deepest appreciation. May God reward you richly and continually strengthen you for greater service to humanity,” he said.
