Wife of Delta State governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has pledged support for Ruby Awareness lnitiative Foundation to assist underprivileged children in the state.
She spoke yesterday while commemorating this year’s International Boys And Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Day and part of a students’ forum organised for public and private secondary schools in Asaba.
While pledging support to ensure that the objectives of RAIF are achieved, she commended the foundation for presenting menstrual packs and antiperspirants to school girls and body care packs to 300 students.
The founder of RAIF, Miss Omonigho Oborevwori, emphasised the foundation’s mission of raising a generation of boys who are seen, heard, supported and not afraid to feel, learn and lead.
She said change begins with collective efforts, and encouraged all present to stand with the foundation in its commitment to empower young people.
Mrs Tobore Oborevwori, represented by the wife of the deputy governor, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, hailed the vision behind the foundation for recognising children’s struggles and taking action to equip them with vital skills and mental health resources.
