The Delta State government, State Special Economic Zone (DSEZ) and Xenergi Limited have signed a collaboration agreement to develop the KGG Gas Eco-Industrial Park (KGIP) in Kwale, Delta State.
The strategic initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities within the KGIP area, supporting efficient services and operations across the industrial park.
The partnership is focused on securing world-class infrastructure and facilities essential for the development of industrial facilities and attracting investors.
According to the Secretary to the Government of Delta State (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, “The KGG Gas Eco-Industrial Park is expected to become a leading industrial hub, attracting top-tier investors and off-takers and providing a fertile ground for future investments.
“With its strategic location and cutting-edge infrastructure, the park will promote industrial efficiency, innovation, and economic growth in the region.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to driving economic development and creating opportunities for our people, aligning with the Governor’s MORE Agenda”, he said.
The managing director of Delta Special Economic Zone, Pastor Godwin Akpovie, highlighted the park’s role in attracting global partners and stakeholders, stating that the KGIP stands as an emblem of progress and opportunity.
“As the project progresses, it is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy and establish Delta State as a hub for industrialization,” he said.
The CEO of Xenergi, Mr. Emeka Ene, emphasised that the partnership aligns with the federal government’s drive to accelerate gas-based industrialisation.
