Lead pastor of the Glorious Destiny Family Church, Port Harcourt, Pastor Akeem Idoniboye, has advised Christians not to use the time for work to engage in prayers.

Idoniboye, who gave the advice yesterday while preaching a sermon at the church’s auditorium in Borokiri, Port Harcourt, said: “It is indiscipline to be praying when you are supposed to be working.”

Preaching on the theme: “Building Destiny Relationships”, the cleric stated that God does not bless people who are not working.

He said, “God doesn’t decide anybody’s destiny. In spite of what God has said about you, your decisions can truncate what God has said.

“No lazy person will ever have a glorious destiny. Life does not wait for you.

“The next relationship you need to really harness is ministry relationship. The relationship you have in those places will determine how far you do in life.

“Once in a while, you can ask for a break to pray but you cannot allow your work to suffer because of prayer. If you are not working, there is nothing God will bless you with.

“You will always need a man to sharpen you. The men that sharpen you will determine how sharp you are. In your place of assignment, that is the next place you build destiny relationship.

“In your chosen career, build quality relationship. God did not call you to know everything. He did not create you to do everything,” he said.
