Eid-el-Fitr: Niger Gov, Etsu Nupe, Senators Urge Unity, Selflessness

The Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Niger State was marked yesterday with calls from traditional and political leaders in the state on the need for selflessness and kindness for the good of the society

In Kontagora, Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago joined thousands of Muslims at the Central Eid Praying Ground to perform the two-unit open air congregational prayer to mark the end of Ramadan.

The governor called on all Muslim faithful to continue to imbibe the lessons learnt in the month of Ramadan to remain selfless, show kindness and maintain good neighbourliness.

said the people should sustain their prayers for the peace and success of government both at the state and federal levels while admonishing them to be security conscious
In Bida, the Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar called on Nigerians to live in peace with one another to foster peace and national unity.

The monarch made the call while addressing his people after the two Raka’at prayers at the Bida Eid Praying Ground yesterday.
