Women, vulnerable people, and persons living with disabilities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have benefitted from the United Arab Emirate (UAE) Embassy in Nigeria Sallah package.
In partnership with Helpline Social Support Initiative, the Embassy delivered food items to the beneficiaries to mark Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The founder of the Helpline Social Support Initiative, Dr Jumai Ahmadu, thanked the Embassy for its kindness and dedication to positively impacting “our community.”
Ahmadu said the gesture demonstrated its commitment to community support by spreading joy and compassion to those in need.
She said this is the third year the Embassy is supporting the needy in Abuja and its environs, adding that Eid-el-Kabir is an opportunity to assist the underprivileged, especially women.
Ahmadu called on other relevant organisations at all levels to go beyond the fanfare that characterised every celebration and use such occasions to empower society’s vulnerable.
