AVM Fura, in a letter addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Pantami Ward in Gombe local government area, said his decision followed wide consultations about his future in politics.

He said, “I wish to formally tender my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect. This decision comes after deep personal reflection and wide consultations, and is borne out of my desire to continue my political journey under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), where I hope to contribute more effectively to the advancement of democratic values and good governance for national development.”

Fura, who is a former PDP governorship aspirant in the state, said his time with the party was marked by valuable experience and service, particularly at the grassroots.

He recalled his role as chairman of the Gombe PDP Reconciliation Committee, where he worked to build party unity and internal cohesion, especially in the aftermath of electoral tensions and intra-party disputes.
