President Bola Tinubu has been praised for his efforts at tackling power failure in Nigeria.

The commendation came from a Nigerian expert in electrical energy, Henry Oguoma,  in Owerri after his return from official trips abroad.

He lauded the president for appointing Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the new minister for Power which he described as a progressive step to resolving power issues in the country.

Oguoma expressed optimism that Tinubu had the intention to commence grid stabilisation efforts through the power Ministry via his Presidential taskforce which would strategically trail the broader structural reforms in the power sector.

The consultant expressed his readiness with foreign partners to offer his expertise to the lingering technical challenges in Nigeria that have, according to him, led to epileptic power supply in all parts of the country, which would end the age- long power failure in electrical power system.

He revealed that proffering technical solutions to the power menace in the country would entail having transformer sensors (Gridscan Grid) that detect hydrogen and moisture in the presence of transformer liquids which would be able to measure and report on the transformer pressure and temperature and when installed on the transformer can last for 20 years with maintenance free status added to the assurance of 10 years of free maintenance with a pilot test to showcase how the equipment can protect the grid.

The expert indicated readiness to support the FG to develop hydrogen vehicles which is a clear option for CNG technology and dismissed plans of relocating to the United States where he usually travels to for official electrical services but instead said he has passion in moves that would bring power stabilization in Nigeria.
