A business expert, Prince Ayodele Arokoyo has tasked Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) especially bakers to embrace technology and innovation for success in the modern day competitive economy.
Ayodele Arokoyo who is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Multiplus Consult Ltd, made the call on Thursday during 100 Kaduna Brand and Merit Awards 2023.
Arokoyo explained that entrepreneurs should adopt modern and technological tools and techniques to build businesses that will ensure business survival with or without them in charge.
According to him, bakers are largely producing industry in the Nigeria, without a good baking technology the industry might collapse and millions of Nigerians will loose their jobs.
“When people loose their jobs, it is a threat to national security.
Government should provide intervention for bakers in order to sustain the industry”.
The guest speaker, Mr Andrew Gani Ikilama during his paper presentation titled ‘Achieving Excellence in Brand Management’ said that branding and innovation is germane to building a generation of transformational leaders which will create courage, trust and perseverance in business.
He said that business owners especially the bakers needs education and exposure to get to their desired goals because the world is evolving, as evident in technology trends and innovations, he added.
“If we continue at this pace, Nigeria will become a force to reckon with. We only need to collaborate to achieve the goal faster and easier.”
