Monday Gift is full of excitement after scoring the winning goal in Washington Spirit’s 1-0 victory over NWSL champions Orlando Pride.

It was Monday’s first goal for Washington Spirit following her arrival from Spanish club, UD Tenerife last month.

The Nigeria international hit target on 63 minutes after capitalising on an error from goalkeeper Anna Moorehouse.

The defeat was Orlando Pride’s first in 22 league outings.

Monday took to the social media to celebrate the goal and her team’s victory.
