Family Mourns Ogunbanjo

The Ogunbanjo family has announced the peaceful passing of their revered patriarch, Chief Chris Ogunbanjo.

Ogunbanjo, who is the “Great Baba Ijo of the Church of the Epiphany, Erunwon” journey into eternal glory occurred on the night of October 7, 2023.

In a statement issued by the family, yesterday and made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja, they expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for blessing Ogunbajo with a long, purposeful life on earth.

They said his contributions were not only significant but also left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

On a national level, the statement said Chief Ogunbanjo’s wisdom and counsel were sought after by leaders and policymakers.

The statement also conveyed their appreciation for the outpouring of support and condolences received during this difficult time.

The statement reads in part: “With gratitude to God Almighty, we announce the passing into glory of our great father who lived for the children, the family, the church, the community, and the entire nation – Chief C. O. Ogunbanjo, (The Great Baba Ijo of the Church of the Epiphany, Erunwon) as he passed into glory yesterday night, 7th October, 2023.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may the good Lord comfort the family he left behind.”
