The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has strongly cautioned the public over a fraudulent online promotion examination form circulating on the social media and other platforms.

The Commission disowned the form, stating that it was neither authorised nor issued by the FCSC.

In a statement signed by Taiwo Hassan on behalf of the chairman, the Commission clarified that, “The form and its link did not emanate from the Commission, as the Commission has a well-structured system that is guided by public service rules in the conduct of its promotion exercise, as contained in our call circular no: FC.6243/GOV/2025/VOL/L issued on May 12, 2025.”

It urged Nigerians to be cautious of fake recruitment syndicates attempting to defraud unsuspecting job seekers.

The Commission further stated that any updates regarding the promotion exercise would be officially communicated to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and published on its website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.

“We advise the public to always verify information through our official channels to avoid falling victim to scams,” the statement added.
