Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has officially announced that his new single, “CLAAT!”, will be released on August 7, building anticipation ahead of his forthcoming fifth studio album, ZUKO!.
The singer, whose real name is Adedamola Adefolahan, shared the news on Wednesday via his verified X account, posting a monochrome teaser clip with the simple caption, “CLAAT! 08/07,” confirming the release date.
The announcement comes shortly after Fireboy revealed that ZUKO! is on the way, marking his next major project since his 2024 album Adedamola.
Signed to YBNL Nation in 2018, Fireboy rose to fame with his debut album, Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, released in 2019. He later achieved global success with the chart-topping hit “Peru”, cementing his place as one of Afrobeats’ leading voices. His catalogue also includes the albums Apollo, Playboy and Adedamola.
