Targeting tertiary institutions across Southeast Nigeria, S Mobile,  in collaboration with MTN Nigeria, has introduced tailored data packages to help students stay connected and leverage the digital resources critical for their academic success.

Chief digital strategist at S Mobile, Gabriel Onu, in an interview with LEADERSHIP, said this initiative goes beyond connectivity, adding that it is about transforming how students learn and interact in a digital age.

“Access to affordable data is fundamental to modern education.

This partnership enhances connectivity for students, enabling them to thrive academically while preparing them for an increasingly digital world,” Onu said.

To further support digital transformation, S Mobile has rolled out MTN MOMO, a financial technology platform that simplifies transactions and promotes financial inclusion among Nigerian youth. This move is expected to reduce cash dependency on campuses, improving convenience and security for students. Beyond connectivity, S Mobile’s investment in youth development is evident in the establishment of the S Mobile Tech Hub. The hub serves as a training ground for hundreds of young Nigerians, equipping them with technical and entrepreneurial skills.

“Our tech hub is not just a center for learning; it’s a platform for societal change. By empowering youths with the skills to innovate and lead, we’re contributing to reducing crime and building a generation of tech-savvy leaders,” Onu explained.

As the festive season approaches, S Mobile is giving back to its customers through a Christmas Promo featuring discounted data packages. This gesture underscores the company’s commitment to making digital access affordable for all while appreciating the loyalty of MTN subscribers.

Through its diverse initiatives, S Mobile is not only advancing MTN’s Ambition 2025 vision of a human-centric, tech-driven Nigeria but also creating a lasting impact on communities. By prioritizing youth empowerment and digital inclusion, S Mobile is paving the way for a more connected and innovative nation.

“As the year wraps up, we’re committed to deepening our impact. From supporting students to fostering financial inclusion, we remain dedicated to driving meaningful change in partnership with MTN Nigeria,” Onu stated.
