All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship election, Senator Teslim Folarin and the senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli have expressed shock and sadness over the death of the party chieftain, Alhaji Wale Adedibu.
Folarin said he was shattered after receiving the death of another chieftain of the party.
He described late Adedibu as an elder brother, friend and political associate, whose positive advice and political acumen would be greatly missed.
“I have no doubt that not just APC but also the political class in the state will dearly miss the seasoned politician and fine gentleman whose contributions to the APC and developmental politics have been invaluable. He was a thorough Ibadan man”, he said.
Alli expressed deep sadness over the passing of the party chieftain, saying that the news of Adedibu’s death came as a rude shock to him and many others.
He noted that such was coming few days after the loss of Oyo North APC Senatorial Women leader.
Adedibu, a popular APC chieftain in the state, died on Saturday night in Ibadan after a brief illness.
He described Adedibu as a committed and dedicated party member who worked tirelessly for the growth of the APC in the state.
The lawmaker said that Adedidu’s death was a great loss to the party and the state, adding his contributions to political and community development would always be remembered.
