In a bid to put smiles on the faces of orphans and the less-privileged in the society especially as students resume for a new academic session, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Maya Care Foundation (MCF), has embarked on the distribution of school accessories, award of scholarship and payment of school fees to deserving beneficiaries in Kogi Central senatorial zone of Kogi State.

The Foundation, which is also a non-partisan organisation, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to address social, environment, education and economic challenges bedeviling the well-being of humanity with a special attention on rural areas.

Its chief executive officer (CEO), Mrs Sefiya Abdulmumin Danga, in her address at various schools across Kogi Central, appreciated the Almighty Allah for giving the foundation the opportunity to serve humanity.

She also used the opportunity to appreciate the Kogi State government for creating the enabling environment for NGOs such as theirs to thrive.

In her usual philanthropic gestures at various schools visited, she assured the students of her support because, according to her, education enhances the beauty of the mind by learning to see the beauty in every little thing.

She, therefore, advised the students about the greatness of their destiny, hence, they shouldn’t allow fear to intimidate them by any means.

Mrs Danga emphasised that education is the key, promising to do everything humanly possible to serve humanity especially less-previleged school children.

As part of the Foundation’s humanitarian gesture, it reached out to orphans and widows at Agassa to distribute mosquito nets, school bags, shoes and food plates to ameliorate their sufferings.

Principals and heads of respective benefiting schools appreciated Hajiya Sefiya for the gesture as they prayed the Almighty Allah to bless her and the Foundation.
