Glovis Entrepreneurship Leadership Development (GELD) Foundation in partnership with Microvis Microfinance Bank has distributed rice, cash and other food items to 100 widows in Kaduna as part of its activities to celebrate this year’s Christmas.
During the distribution yesterday in Kaduna at the programme tagged “Put Smiles on Faces” the director, Microvis Microfinance Bank, Yetunde Adebart explained that GELD is targeting 500 widows and senior citizens in 9 states and the FCT – Abuja, Kaduna, Kwara, Oyo, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Edo, Benue and Lagos.
She noted that the essence of the programme was to put smiles on the faces of widows and their families and also to get their data captured in respect of accessing future support to their businesses and development of entrepreneurial skills that can improve the management of their businesses and enhance productive living while supporting them on a journey to financial independence.
The head of business operations and services, Microvis Microfinance Bank, Stephen Edward said GELD has distributed food items to widows every year since 2020 in order to show them love.
