Not less than 500 old people and beggars have benefited from the 2023 edition of the Eyeomo Empowerment Foundation’s annual empowerment programme.
The programme tagged: “Give Back a Portion” is borne out of the commitment of the foundation to reach out to old people and the less privileged in Ondo state
A statement by the founder, Osamaye Seun Bosede, said the programme is a charity scheme dedicated to helping those in need, including both the elderly and those living on the streets.
The event presents an opportunity for over 500 elders and others to gather together for a feast, receive gifts, and be provided with both empowerment materials and cash.
She said, “Since 2019, with the help of God Almighty, My husband, and benefactors, we commit to always reach out to the less privileged in the society using our substance under the Charity Scheme of our Eyeomo Empowerment foundation called (Give Back a Portion) This is our way of appreciating God Almighty for His mercies and Grace upon us. We sincerely hope we inspire others to be grateful and gracious and give back to the society.”
“The Eyeomo Empowerment Foundation has been organising an annual, sometimes biannual empowerment program to provide support for those in need. The programme has been running for many years and aims to provide assistance to the elderly, the homeless, and those in poverty.
“At each event, old people gather in the community for a feast, gifts, empowerment materials, and cash donations. Through this programme, the Eyeomo Empowerment Foundation has been able to make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most,” it said.
