This is even as Glo is offering a 5GB bonus to customers who activate the e-SIM and purchase a data plan of at least N1,500.

The telco, at the unveiling of the e-SIM, in Lagos, said the e-SIM is a built-in digital chip that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card, allowing users to switch between numbers and networks effortlessly.

Glo added that the technology is particularly beneficial for frequent travelers, business professionals, and high-net-worth individuals who require flexible connectivity.

Beyond convenience, the e-SIM offers enhanced security, as it is embedded within devices and harder to remove, reducing the risk of theft or loss. It is also environmentally friendly, as it eliminates plastic waste from traditional SIM cards.
