Bauchi State Youth Parliament has lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering commitment to nurturing young leaders and providing them with a platform for governance and public service.

At the opening of the Youth Parliament’s Second Session Induction Workshop over the weekend at Yankari Game Reserve, the speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Mohammad Musa, described the initiative as a bold and visionary step towards building a future-oriented leadership culture in Bauchi State.

“This youth parliament is more than just an assembly of young voices. It is a training ground for tomorrow’s legislators, policymakers, and public servants,” he said.

Musa added that, “And this would not have been possible without the vision and trust of His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed.”

Musa praised the governor for recognising that governance extends beyond infrastructure to the development of human capital, particularly the youth.

“Through this platform, the Governor is building not only roads and schools but also dreams.

“This workshop is not just a ceremony. “It is a call to responsibility, a reminder of the weight we now carry on our shoulders, and an opportunity to build the discipline and character that leadership demands,” he emphasised.

Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon Abubakar Suleiman, assured the commitment of the lawmakers to support viable initiatives that would improve socio-economic condition of youths across the state.

He described the composition of the Second Session of Bauchi Youth Parliament as a “pivotal moment in our journey toward inclusive governance, vibrant youth leadership, and meaningful public service.”
