Katsina State governor, Umaru Radda has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to protect the lives and properties of security personnel, especially members of the Community Watch Corps (CWC) deployed in the frontline local government areas to combat bandits.
Radda stated this while commissioning 10 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) to assist the security personnel in the fight against bandits and other forms of crime and criminalities in the state.
He vowed to provide them with the needed logistics that would assist in making their jobs easy and end the menace, adding that the 10 APC vehicles were provided in fulfilment of the promise he made while launching the CWC last year.
The governor explained, “What you are doing is not your efforts alone, but Allah’s hand is behind your success, He will surely not allow wickedness to last long but at the appropriate time He will bring it to an end.
“I’m assuring you that the government is ready to support you in whatever ways that will ensure the protection of your life and property including your families.”
He prayed to God to help them in the fight and grant them victory against the bandits.
