Arewa Peace Foundation (APF) has urged Nigerians to stop castigating the governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, and cooperate with him for peace and stability in the state.

Addressing newsmen in Kaduna yesterday, the director of publicity, Bello Abdulhamid, said the coming of governor Lawal had opened a vista of hope, adding that Zamfara is on the obvious rise again.

“We want to call on the Nigerian public to ignore the ranting of some personalities in the state who are currently expressing and exhibiting some anti-state utterances that are injurious to the current administration using the ongoing cases of banditry in the state.

“Governor Dauda Lawal has said time without number that he would not negotiate with terrorists and had given his reasons. Therefore, the allegations against him are baseless, misleading and unfounded,” he said.
