Two children of the lawmaker representing Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Solihu, have been abducted by gunmen.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the lawmaker’s children were kidnapped on Monday when unknown gunmen stormed their residence around 1:00 am.
A source told LEADERSHIP that the suspected kidnappers carried AK-47 rifles and shot into the air sporadically before whisking the victims away.
“The whereabouts of the victims remain unknown as I speak with you. But, one of the kidnappers who contacted the family said he was not yet with his colleagues in the forest to harmonise their price, “ the source added.
The spokesman of the Kwara State police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident.
“Details are still sketchy but I will get back as soon as we have comprehensive details of the incident,” Ajayi stated.
