As economic hardship continues to affect Nigerians, Archbishop John Praise Daniel has called President Bola Tinubu to prioritise what he described as “stomach infrastructure” — the immediate needs of food, healthcare, and welfare.

During a church ceremony at Dominion Chapel International Church in Abuja, the Archbishop emphasised the need to care for the people beyond physical infrastructure.

“We believe that one of the greatest infrastructures is stomach infrastructure,” he said.

“The government must ensure that the masses have access to food, medical care, and necessities.”

Archbishop Praise made the remarks during the ILOM School of Ministry event, where four bishops were elevated to archbishops.

He commended the federal government for efforts in road construction and development projects, but noted that peace and stability depend largely on citizens’ well-being.

“I am not here to attack the government.

The Bible commands us to pray for those in authority. But we must also counsel and advise them to improve people’s lives,” he added.

He acknowledged that some policies might be difficult in the short term but hoped they would eventually bring positive change.

The Archbishop also highlighted the church’s humanitarian work, recalling a trailer of relief materials sent to conflict-affected areas and a medical outreach that treated over 2,000 people.

He recently assumed a new role as President of the West African region of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa, pledging to advocate for peace and unity across the region.

“We must unite to end violence, banditry, and instability. Africa, and especially West Africa, must move forward in peace,” he said.

He announced that an exceptional Thanksgiving service would be held in September to mark his elevation, and church leaders from across Africa were expected to attend.

The Dominion Chapel International Church continues to mobilise pastors and leaders for what the Archbishop calls “kingdom advancement” and support for struggling communities.
