The artist shared the news on her X account on Thursday, stating, “Out of respect for the ongoing protest at homešŸ‡³šŸ‡¬, I have decided to postpone the release of the Burning music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heardšŸ•ŠļøšŸ’–.ā€

LEADERSHIP reports that the protests, branded ’10 Days of Rage,’ commenced on August 1 and have garnered significant participation from citizens across various cities. However, the demonstrations have faced disruptions, including incidents of hijacking by hoodlums in states such as Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa and Yobe. In response, Borno and Kano States have imposed a 24-hour curfew to curb unrest.
