The new chairman of ICAN in the chapter, Mrs Rita O Okolie, made the promise after her investiture, and the inauguration of the executive committee members of ICAN-OAGF chapter.

Okolie promised that her administration would prioritise capacity building for members as well as for youth corps members serving with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
The new chairman said her tenure would celebrate diversity and promote equal opportunities for all, where every member feels valued, heard and integral to the association’s collective success.

“We will create an environment where collaboration thrives, and every voice contributes to our shared goals, and together, we shall embark on this journey of inclusiveness, growth and excellence,” she said.
Earlier, the outgoing chairman of the association, Dako Abeje Joshua, had enumerated the association’s achievements in the last year, including increased membership enrolment.

He urged association members to extend the support he enjoined to the new executive members.
In her message, the Accountant-General of the Federation, Mrs Oluwatoyin Shakirat Maden, stressed the importance of a strong institution and professional body like ICAN in the country’s development.
