Imo Will Get Better Under Uzodimma’s Second Term, Says Nwifuru

Ebonyi State governor, Francis Nwifuru, yesterday said the second term election victory of the Imo State governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma will enable him consolidate on his laudable achievements and continue with the reforms he initiated in the state.

In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Dr Monday Uzor and made available to LEADERSHIP he said the result of the election reflected the will of the people of Imo State.

“I am delighted to congratulate the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’  Forum, His Excellency Hope Uzodimma on his resounding victory at the just concluded governorship election.

“The outcome of the polls is a true reflection of the implicit confidence the people reposed in you. You have in the past four years offered quality leadership to your people through policies and programmes that have direct and positive impact on the lives of the people.

“This bold statement by the people at the polls has given you another opportunity to consolidate on your laudable achievements and continue with the reforms you have initiated in the state.”

He thanked the APC for their tenacity, steadfastness and courage which he said contributed largely to the victory.

“As I congratulate Imolites for making the best choice, I urge them to remain steadfast in their support to the Governor to enable  him continue with his  development agenda,” Governor Nwifuru said.

Similarly, the House of Representatives Committee chairman on Reformatory Institutions, Hon Chinedu Ogah said the vision, dedication and tireless efforts of Governor Uzodimma have undoubtedly resonated with the people, leading to the resounding mandate for another term.

Ogah who represents Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency maintained that Uzodimma showed commitment to the development and progress of the state since his first term adding that the people through the ballot expressed their confidence that his second term will bring even more prosperity and positive change to the state.
