Nigerian forward and reigning African Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Inter Milan ahead of a potential summer move from Atalanta. The Nerazzurri have made Lookman a top priority as they aim to revamp their attack following the departures of Joaquín Correa and Marko Arnautović.
However, negotiations with Atalanta were still ongoing, with the Bergamo club demanding around €50 million for the 27-year-old. Inter were keen to secure the services of the reigning African Player of the Year for closer to €40 million and, according to Sky Sport Italia, were prepared to make an upfront offer without the need to offload any key players.
Lookman enjoyed a sensational 2024/25 season, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists to help Atalanta finish third in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League. His consistent performances have made him one of the most sought-after talents in the Italian top flight.
While personal terms between Inter and Lookman have reportedly been finalised, a deal can only progress once both clubs reach an agreement on the transfer fee.
